Old Skool...!

Finally the Continental Sport Contacts have given up on the MTB, over 18 months of commuting my mtb to work has seen what looks like the brake block perish the rear side wall but on closer inspection its actually the bead which has come away! too much pressure i'm guessing.

They have been great with only one puncture in the rear and that was from a big bit of glass in December 2011! so I've switch to an old Emmelle old school men's racer to commute on...

Awesome!!!

Not ideal but it saves the boardman from getting dirty. The only problem is the gearing, 53/39 on the front and a 23/12 on the rear, basically the same gearing as the boardman but without the small front ring!!!! Good for a bit of strength training i guess and after last Sunday that can only be a good thing!

23 tooth rear gear is a bit of a handful around here!

On the plus side the boardman will seem like a dream to ride after :)

Gearing up, new tyres.

Out with the old and in with the new...
The continental gp4000s is meant to be good for 5000 miles plus! Fingers crossed.
Quite expensive but as wiggle had 27% off they weren't so bad if you say it quick!

They seem to be really good, very fast rolling and light.  Not quite as bling as the R1's.
